Developed in the early 1980's by a man called Bjarne Stroustrub of Bell laboratories while trying to create an Operating System. He needed a programming language that was precise and compact to run speedy programs.

C++ is an object oriented programming language which is a subject of C language. It is a general purpose programming language.
